Hmmm... I have read snippets of both of them. Honestly, we can all learn from each other. There's no perfect mothering. BUT, after considering them both I think the real people missing out in the Chinese philosophy is perhaps the mothers. Are they LOVING being a mom to those little adorable children? Are they savoring each moment, and while I can't really say I Do that -- I think that sometimes breaking down and being a bit more friendly than drill-seargent-y can lead to a lot of happy feelings for a mom as well...
You've arrived at my blog - thanks for stopping by! Between teaching 30 five year-olds, parenting, and generally being fabulous, I've been known to work up quite a hankering for restaurants and yummy comfort food. In the interest of my pocket book and waistline, I'm learning how to satisfy my cravings with my own culinary delights. I believe in the power of a positive attitude because life is what you make it.
