Sunday

Another busy weekend! I was up at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday working on my to-do list. I read somewhere that everyone should one day a week - for instance, Sunday - to do nothing but relax and spend time with family.  The author stated, 'if you can't do that, you are obviously too busy and need to cut back somewhere.'  I wish I could make that happen! I did enjoy some relaxing time on Saturday when the three of us enjoyed lunch outdoors at a restaurant.  We also relaxed late afternoon on Sunday, outside on our porch, with this snack.

Triscuts with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes. So I almost always get some relaxing in, just not a whole day.

During my Sunday grocery shopping, I came across these ramekins in Target. I recently have been coveting ramekins, and feel like I've only seen them online, and for a little pricier. These were about $2 each at Target. In case you are like me, and did not know what a ramekin was last year, they are individual deep dishes that are oven safe up to 400 degrees or more - perfect for individual pasta bakes (they can be personalized), etc. Yea!

Did you relax this weekend?

Mmm, I want ramekins... super cute. I should get some.

BTW, Sunday is all about "rest" around here... of course, I also teach a class at church and deal wtih kids for 3 hours at church, but after that it's about family and "rest" .:)

BUT, it makes Saturdays pretty un-relaxing. :)

My pastor preached on the ten commandments a few years ago and spent a whole Sunday talking about keeping the Sabbath holy. That it was not only a time for worship, but for recharging and resting to prepare for the week to come. Since then, I have tried so hard to keep from making a to-do list. Sometimes I'm not able to accomplish it (say if we've been out of town all weekend) but as much as possible, I try to get everything done on Saturday.

But of course, like all moms--the list never ends!
