Crazy Fit Moms
I found this article so interesting. I know a few moms who fit into this category, and definitely admire some of these attributes! What about you? Are you a crazy, happy fit mom?

oh joy, a new book!
I've been searching for a new book for awhile - I can be a picky reader. I know what I like, and I love memoirs, especially uplifting ones. Today I got the above from the library. I'm really excited about it. Has anyone read it?
In other news, I hosted my first garage sale today. After subtracting what we spent in supplies (Ed was a little spendy with the colored dot stickers and packing tape), I think we only made about $50ish dollars. On the other hand, I'm quite proud that I decluttered several rooms in our house, set up, priced, advertised, and cleaned up the aftermath almost completely on my own. My smoothest move - early on, we weren't getting much traffic, so I left Ed in charge, and found another block sale down the street, (in a nicer neighborhood). I posted new signs there with arrows leading people all the way to our house. It worked!
Happy weekend to all!

Mom cave craft
I have been majorly crushing on silhouettes for awhile now. I made my first one a couple of years ago with a rookie error (I used glue which showed through a little.) Since then I've been collecting silhouettes on pintrest and trying to decide how to incorporate some in my slowly forming mom cave.
This time around I tried some different colors (and used scrapbooking tape for adhesion). So simple! What do you think? More pictures as they become available!

Cooper, Lacey and Tux's day of fun
Remember the Friend's episode when Joey and Janice had their 'Day. of. Fun!!'
Mr. Cooper, who is becoming quite the man about town, had a day of fun, along with the rest of us (Ed, Paige, brother and sis-in-law) on Saturday. It was quite hot at home so we headed to Half Moon Bay.
With some planning, we were able to snag a primo outdoor table at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Get this, even in Half Moon Bay (land of the 50 and 60 degree weather), we were able to rock our short sleeves and tank tops and leave our jackets in the car. It was beautiful!
Before and after lunch we took some walks, and also explored the little strip of beach right below the restaurant. Cooper's first beach experience! He liked it! His cousins above (Lacey and Tux) were much more adventurous and a kick to watch. Cooper did his trademark light trot and kind of called it a day.
We ended up spending the whole day there, which was just what I needed. I've We've been doing some major cleaning and decluttering for the past few days and I was in a grouchy place. I've now been rejuvenated. So guess it was my day of fun too!

New Brighton Camping Trip 2012
We came back a few days ago from our 5th annual friends' camping trip! We've learned a few things since 2007.
First, if you have to arrive a day late, your wonderful friends will set up your tent for you. (With special ammenities).
The kids are much easier. The adults, well....
Speaking of the kids, they are are wise enough to play along with the maps and treasure hunts that mysteriously surface and happen each year. Like with Santa, 'you have to believe to receive.'

Our friend Dan still remains as the official camp photog. Almost all of these photos are his!

Above: the treasure. Pirates like to shop at Diddams.

Sadly, handheld games are popular too.
of all kinds.

The kids are still cute.

Like, are you kidding me?? cute.
Highlight of the trip and a new tradition (??): the adult whiffle ball game on the beach. The Arrows, or whatever you were called, you are going down next year.

note: the swimming hair accessory still in place days later.
Another takeaway: glow sticks are very entertaining.

Night skies camping are still the prettiest.

Packed, ready to go, and still smiling. Hey, we're getting better at this!
