So since summer vacation which officially started Saturday, June 14th, this is the first day we've had free. Here's what's on my to-do list:
1) plan meals and do grocery list for week
2) call dad to wish him a happy birthday tomorrow
3) clean bathrooms
4) general tidy-up of house
5) dust
6) vacuum bedrooms
7) work on baby shower plans for event in two weeks
8) call mother-in-law and invite her over potentially for dinner
9) squeeze in some exercise
10) Watch Jon and Kate plus 8 marathon
11) Confirm plans for week ahead
Whew! I anticipate I will get 7 of these items done. I will surely have to spend some time playing with the little one. Having an only child makes for a wonderful close relationship, but also means YOU are the playmate. Which is nice, except for when I just want to burn through many tasks. I'm curious how others often get so many items done, especially those who are crafty and seem to find hours to sew, craft, scrapbook.
Well - time to get started!

I'm finally doing it...
After enjoying a few blogs for about 18 months, I'm finally starting my own! It took me about that long to convince my husband that it would be OK, and I would not be stalked by any crazy people, or be the victim of identity theft (knocking on wood.) Anyway, I've always been interested in how other people live, and I've always loved to write, so I figured I'd get it on the action. I also like the idea of being able to reflect on our happy, busy days. I often feel like I don't savor the moment enough and perhaps take for granted the wonderful aspects of my life. Hopefully, reflecting on memories will help change that.
